Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. – crab meat
  • ½ tsp. – sea salt (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon – Old Bay Seasoning
  • ¼ tsp. – black ground pepper (or to taste)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup – parsley

Instructions

  1. Cut crab meat into smaller pieces if needed.
  2. Place cut crab meat into a medium bowl and mix in all the ingredients except the flour and parsley. Then mix in the flour and parsley until all well incorporated.
  3. I prefer for the mixture to be refrigerated for at least an hour, so all the meat can soak in the flavors of the seasonings (this is optional if you're short on time, you may form and sauté the crab cakes right away).
  4. Form fritters into small patties, about 4 inches .Warm a pan to med/high heat and sauté the crab cakes for a couple of minutes on each side for the patty to hold together (since the crab meat is already cook), or until light golden brown.
  5. Remove sautéed fritters onto plated lined with paper towels to remove excess oil.
  6. Serve crab cakes on a bun or alone with your favorite sauce (tartar Sauce, cocktail sauce or garlic Aioli) with your favorite side dish or salad.
